For years, our founder Serene has scoured the world of beauty to find a skincare line from Asia. Having tried many Asian-based skincare brands, she preferred the textures, adaptability and multi-functionality that some Western brands offered. K-beauty skincare label, VENN changed all that for her.

The beginning…
In the world of female-dominated beauty space, Venn’s founders, Lawyer Brian Oh and nuclear physicist Dr Kevin Mun found their niche by forming a synergy and natural alliance. Solidly founded on ground-breaking, decades long research - terms like the “Engine” of skincare, “Microbiome”, “Ginsenoside Compound K” , “Multi-layering delivery systems” co-exist perfectly in the VENN universe.
Why are these terms important?
The “Engine” of Skincare
We all know that apart from aesthetics, the engine is what sets a Ferrari apart from a sedan like the Toyota Vios. Akin to the heart, the engine powers and drives the car into achieving peak performance. Venn chose to focus and base their formulations on not just the best active ingredients (which are important) but how to drive and optimize the delivery and efficacy of these ingredients and in their supercharged concentrations. And so, the concept of the “engine” of skincare was born.
You can’t talk about Venn without talking Microbiome
There has been a rising emphasis on our microbiome having a direct correlation to our skin health - and for good reason. First and foremost, we need to establish what our microbiome is. It’s simply a collection of all microbes - the good, the bad and the ugly. In our skin’s ecosystem, a good portion of bacteria, fungi, viruses and their genes naturally live on our bodies and inside us. Skin inflammation can result from just minute changes of the balance of these microbes; which lead to skin problems like acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea etc. Venn spent decades focusing on the importance of balancing our microbiome and thereby, improving skin health.
The research team founded Synbiotics - a patented combination of pro and postbiotics which can suppress bad microbes and maintain the good microbes. But the inclusion of Synbiotics into Venn’s skincare was not immediate - in fact, it was formulated into toothpaste for leprosy patients residing on Korea’s Soroc Island (one of the last remaining leprosy colonies in the world); where oral decay was very real. When the team realized how much this active ingredient managed the oral decay for these patients, they brought this concept into the realm of skincare.
Today, a few key products have Synbiotics as a star ingredient - Synbiotic Defense Mist, Probiotics Cica Complex Biome Booster, Synbiotic Polyamine Body Wash, Synbiotic Polyamine Shampoo.
Ginsenoside Compound K
One of the rarest bioactive components from the native Korean Ginseng Panax. Industry experts recognise it as a great alternative to Vitamin C in terms of potent antioxidative ability, high stability, low sensitivity and no oxidation. The main deterrent to seeing Ginsenoside Compound K as a regular ingredient in many skincare brands is the issue of solubility - it just cannot dissolve easily. Venn’s patented water solubility technology for Ginsenoside Compound K is the reason why we find this hero ingredient in the Age-Response Compound K Hyaluronic Booster, Age-Reversing All-In-One Concentrate, Concentrated Revitalizing Lifting Mask. These products contain as high as 40% of GCK concentration which makes it a winner in every right.
Multi delivery system
One may have access to the most expensive and best active ingredients in the world but if there is no optimal way of delivering into the deeper layers for our skin, it’s almost pointless. Venn’s patented “Concentric Technology” enables these active ingredients to remain stable, to be layered in an orderly fashion, so that they don’t “block, construct or jeopardize” the penetration of each other. Ingredients are propelled into our skin where it is needed; without staying much on the surface.

Ultra refreshing, soothing and hydrating. Skin that is funky gets restored to its normal state. It’s a beautiful one to use all day, at the gym or any time your skin needs a bit of an uplift.
2. VENN Collagen Intensive Phyto-Retinol Renewal Mask
Wow. This newest generation of hydrogel is ultra thin and all the active ingredients in collagen, 0.5% Bakuchiol (natural alternative to retinol), 19 amino acids, peptides etc; are built into the mask vs sitting on the mask. Exuding a distinctive soothing and earthy scent, this formulation pays homage to a 4 century old Korean herbal ointment “Jaungo", which native Koreans have used to manage various skin diseases for decades. In case you were wondering about its color, the mild red tint comes naturally from the Angelica Gigas Root Extract (Korean Angelica). It uses a 150 hour fermentation technology for amplified performance and delivery to the skin. One word - LOVE!
