Mount Lai

Mount Lai is a proudly Asian female-owned beauty brand rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It takes a modern approach to ancient rituals for radiant, glowing skin. 

Mount Lai was inspired by founder Stephanie Zheng’s grandmother, who has been jade rolling and practicing gua sha for over fifty years. Her grandmother treated her skincare routine as a breath of calmness in her busy life. A daily ritual, an act of self-care.

Gua sha and facial rolling have been healing modalities used for centuries, shared from one family member to another, like our founder and her grandmother.

A note from the founder, Stephanie Zheng

"As an esthetician, it’s no surprise that skincare has always brought me tremendous joy. To me, skincare is a form of self-care. It’s a way to carve out time for yourself in your busy schedule, a way to decompress from the day.

These are recipes shared from my great grandmother to my grandmother to my mother to me and one I will pass down. We used the knowledge and wisdom shared from generation to generation as the basis for our products, whether it be the facial tools that bring you a radiant glow or clean, non-toxic skincare with time-tested ingredients used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and backed by science.
