A brief history about OUMERE skincare

OUMERE is founded by Wendy Ouriel while earning her Masters of Science degree in cellular biology. Wendy's research while earning her degree included education in extracellular matrix biology.

This piqued her interest in the biological mechanisms behind anti-ageing at the same time that she was experiencing acne and damaged skin. She then began a side project to determine why her skin was sick. Wendy cured her skin by making her own skincare after extensive research on how to strengthen her skin through proper formulation.

OUMERE's philosophy is one of pure anti-ageing. OUMERE believes in real skincare. OUMERE believes in results and is not concerned with a slick image or the gimmicky marketing that pervades the skincare industry. OUMERE believes that the power of its true anti-ageing formulation speaks for itself.

Step 1: Cleansing with OUMERE Oil Dissolution Theory

The OUMERE Oil Dissolution Theory is an oil cleanser that is excellent for:

Dissolving oils
Removing makeup
Eliminating contaminants that accumulate on your skin, without drying out or damaging your skin

It's simple to use. Simply use it nightly on dry or slightly damp skin, and work up to a mild emulsion. Shake the container before use so that oil and water layers are thoroughly mixed.

Step 2: Exfoliating with No. 9 Daily Liquid Exfoliant

The secret to smooth skin is simple: Exfoliate your face regularly. But not just with any other exfoliators. Pick the right one and witness your complexion glow like never before.

Enter OUMERE skincare's signature No. 9 Daily Liquid Exfoliant. The No. 9 is a holistic and comprehensive exfoliating lotion that is smart. Why? Well, that's because it is just one variant and yet, it can be used for all skin types. Yes, you've heard us right.

How does No. 9 work?

It's simple. You just need to adjust the amount of time the lotion is left undisturbed on your skin (before applying anything else). This will help you to achieve the exfoliation based on your skin type.

For sensitive, delicate or "virgin" exfoliant users: Start by diluting No. 9 with a wet cotton pad. Apply in a (light) press and dab upwards motion, moving from the neck, then jawline, and making your way to your forehead. Do this for as long as your skin feels comfortable. You can then reduce the amount of water on the cotton pad in the next week and gradually, use it on its own — neat.
For dry skin: Dispense 1 to 1.5 pipettes of No. 9 on a cotton pad and leave it on skin undisturbed (i.e. do not apply any serums first) for the next 15 to 20 minutes (we suggest starting from 5 minutes before moving up to 10, 15 and eventually the full 20 minutes). The longer No. 9 is left undisturbed on your skin, the more intense the exfoliation is.
For oily skin: Dispense 1 to 1.5 pipettes of No. 9 on a cotton pad and leave it on skin undisturbed (i.e. do not apply any serums first) for the next 20 to 30 minutes (we suggest starting from 5 minutes before moving up to 10, 15 and eventually the full 30 minutes). The longer No. 9 is left undisturbed on your skin, the more intense the exfoliation is.
For all skin: Once your skin is adequately exposed and used to exfoliating lotions, leave it on skin undisturbed for up to 30 minutes. This is to allow your skin to reap the full exfoliating power of No. 9. Note that even if No. 9 is left on skin for more than 30 minutes, the exfoliating effect stops after 30 minutes so you can apply your subsequent skincare products accordingly.

There is no need to rinse off No.9. The acids start to work to break down the biological glue on our skin cells slowly and effectively. Proceed with using the rest of the OUMERE skincare products accordingly.

Step 3: Addressing under-eye dark circles and puffiness with OUMERE The Eye Serum

Use nightly on the skin after cleansing with Oil Dissolution Theory™ Moisturising Cleanser. Apply a few drops onto fingertips and gently press into areas around the eyes.
